Sadly, I first picked up Siamese Dream in junior high only because my best friend's step-sister loved the album and I thought she was the coolest girl ever and I wanted to be just like her. Then, to my surprise, I fell in love with SP instantly. The following years were a whirlwind of teenage mush with choice SP songs and lyrics peppered in to fit the situations. I honestly couldn't tell you why or how the band and their music had me so enamoured...it just did. Now, years later, I'm an "adult" who never moved on. I squealed with girlish delight the first time I wandered back to the website and found the news the band was back in the studio. Many anxious months later, I ran home to listen to the latest cd, and grinned dorkily because the Pumpkins I love were back.
