Superchrist ! This is the rebirth of the rock music scene

Im not going to dress it up and say it was the best gig I was ever at, but I would be happy seeing the pumpkins painting a wall, never mind playing music. It had a few low points where I seemed to phase out a bit, loosing concentration, maybe not my favorite set list ever and I would have changed a few songs if it was me deciding. Maybe I would have put hummer in there and Orchid, Starz, Tear, but overall it was a savage gig. People were saying after that. "Oh he didnt interact with the crowd" etc etc but If they went to a TOOL gig or an A PERFECT CIRCLE gig they wouldnt see the singer Maynard for maybe half the gig as he would be at the back of the stage in darkness or behind a screen. Pink Floyd played their 1981 Tour behind a wall for feck sake. If it was U2 that was up on stage they would have been complaining "That eejit has too much to say, why doesnt he just sing the songs, who made him president". What I am saying is that people will alway find something to complain about.

Porcelina was great
Nightmare was really good,
Bring the light is a really good song and is growing more and more on me
Tonight tonight had the hairs standing on my neck
Mayonaise great,
Superchrist was the song that I was humming on the way home. Heavy as anything they have done before and maybe heavier.

there was a bit of a lull in the middle where it went a bit quiet, but there isnt a band out there that plays a full on set for almost three hours. So this quiet time gives everybody the full picture as to what Smashing Pumpkins do. They are an all encompasing band, with something to offer on all fronts musically.

Tarantula was savage,
Ava adore was great
Drown, was unbelievable it sounded like I was back in 1994. True original pumpkins sound but I think they have dropped it a half step and it still works beautifully. I have hazy recollection of how I got into the pumpkins in the first place in 1993 but I can still remember hearing the soundtrack from the film "Singles" with "Drown" on it, and thats when I fell in love with the Pumpkins.

Cash car star was really really good was it a Thin Lizzy tease they stuck in towards the end.
United states was epic, It was mental, it was great to see billy working the stage to get the feedback sounds from the delay pedal in the middle bit and Jimmy threw in a drum solo in it also.

Brilliant gig although I didnt get into the pit. Sound was pretty good. I moved around a good bit and there didnt seem to be many bad pockets for the sound. Obviously if you were down the back there was a loss of sound quality etc but up front it was pretty good. Lots of people are syaing the sound was sh1t. But what can you expect from a venue with no acoustic architecture. Its just a shed really. If you want to hear album quality sound listen to the album. Huge bands with much more money than the pumpkins have problems with sound, Its not the musicians, engineers, equipments fault. Its the venue. Thats my take on it anyway.

Glad I got to see them again,
Last time I saw them was 1996 in the point.

I still think about that night, and remember Bernadette O Brien! RIP

Glad I can now release the bad memories of the lack of crowd management at that gig.

Looking forward to the next album, and tour.

WHY I'M A FAN
I dont know. Siamese Dream just spoke to me, the only album that has ever really spoke to me! I lived inside the album for months, maybe even a year, listening to nothing else, traveling through its darkness and out into the light it brings with it....

FAVORITE LYRIC
We are the fossils
The relics of our time
We mutilate the meanings
So they're easy to deny

Song Title: Quiet
Artist: Smashing Pumpkins
