I first remember hearing The Pumpkins on the singles soundtrack. I didn't really connect though until I was in the Quantico Marine Band in '94 (I'm a guitarist, bassist and percussionist) a very good friend of mine really turned me on to them. I connect to the music in so many ways. The actual music and the lyrics. My wife has been a Pumpkins fan since the Gish days. They are one the greatest common interests in our relationship.
