...is gonna be the greatest day i've ever known!

i've been a smashing pumpkin fan since 1994. yeah, that's thirteen years! and not just a fan, but an obsessed one! i must have *everything* - cd's, shirts, singles, soundtracks, vinyl, posters, books, magazine clippings.. you name it, i got it! and i have smashing pumpkins tickets for tonight's concert in upper darby, PA! where the hell is that? i don't know! it's about a 2 hour drive from me, so i got me some mapquest directions, a map, and a boyfriend to come with me! you're probably thinking "well, if you've been a fan for 13 years, you must have gone to plenty of shows already!" well, you're wrong! in addition to having an obsession to the pumpkins, i also had a paranoid over-protective mother when i was growing up! i'm just about 25 now, and the pumpkins are once again touring after a seven year break up, and today is the first chance i have to actually see THE SMASHING PUMPKINS in concert! so, in about 6 hours, i am going to be on my way to "the keystone state" to mark a milestone in my life! my first smashing pumpkins concert!

hi fellow NJerseyian! I hope you had a great time at the show!! I too had overprotective parents.. well at least in the case of seeing SP at Tramps in 99 in NYC. I SOOOOOO wanted to go to that show but they wouldn't let me at the time. Little did I know that was the LAST time the original band would play together (and might I add, the shows from the arising tour ROCKED so hard! if only..) but I have to say as MUCH as I miss James and Darcy.. Jeff and Ginger definitely fill their places nicely. btw Ive been a fan since 1995 OH and I also made that trip to Upper Darby with my bf. We got [bad word removed]in LOST on the way back. (Remember, Walnut St. IS NOT WALNUT ST ON THE WAY BACK!!) we didnt get in til about 3am when we should have been home around 1-2am. kinda sucked. But it was definitely worth it to see the band. I also had the luck of seeing them in 1998 @ RCMH and 2000 @ Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. I hope you had a fantastic time.. im still awestruck being in the same room with them after all these years!
