Drear guys the gig was great Billy u have just a magnificent heart and you voice is just great!
I was really happy to see you for the second time in 30 days, but I am sorry to say I am proud I was in italy to see you before this gig, because the audience here just sucked if I was billy I run away from the stage u finnish I am sorry to say as I do live here and I have choosen to live and die in this country did not deserve a great show as sp did, u were just death!
But Billy is an hero, thanks so for the emotions u gave me I love u Billy boy!

Dear Billy and Jimmy,

I loved every song you played, you were just perfect. I was in front row and seeing you play from any other place wouln't have been an option. You have a beautiful mind, Billy, it's great you're sharing the products of it with me and everyone else. I didn't have any favourite songs, I just loved the whole package, and your voice, and the drums, and the quitar...

Hope u didn't get disappointed with finnish audience. We're very reserved people, it's just part of our culture. We're not used to showing our feelings or behave excited, we're constantly thinking about what other peole think about us so we try to be as neutral as we can. If I have right information finns commit the second most suicides in world every year, and this is due to the pressure we have to behave in certain way. So we're not exactly being cool, we're being the opposite of cool. We don't think we're better than everyone else, we think we're worse. Well, me trying to explain this to you just proves my point...

But that doesn't have anything to do with your playing, just wanted to thank you, you made my life!!I'll remember you in my prayers and I hope all the best for you in the future and i wish you both would be happy and achieve all the things you want in your lives.

Greetings to the whole band from Tampere, Finland.

Personally i found SP too late see the last gig in Helsinki back in 2000. I was devastated as i thought the band i just had learned to love, might not come to Finland ever again.

You might imagine how glad i was to hear you guys coming to Helsinki again.

The Gig made one of my dearest dreams to come true. Hope you didnt get disappointed to the finnish audience. We finnish people are quite morose, we havent get used to express our emotions very colorfully.

Got a bit distracted.. The gig was all i expected, wonderful guitar-walls and Billy's strong performance (the whole band did), not to mention all the great songs they played. The show took me up and down, waving my emotions back and forth. Simply, i loved it, i loved it really much.

So, i wanna thank you for this experience you provided. Hope we will see you guys some another time here in pitty little country called Finland. Now i can die as a happy man.

Thank you SP for a good gig in Helsinki. This was a second time for me and my wife when we saw SP live in Helsinki.

There was good diversity in gig. Billy was filling the stage with only acoustic guitar, and in other hand the whole band was tryin` to blow the roof of with intensive and powerful jammin.

It was too bad for us that we couldn´t go to front row to jam because my wife was pregnant, so we had to stand back from the busiest crowd.

I was very suprised and pleased to hear band playin a cover song "Foreplay" from Boston`s first album. A Hammond sound always sounds marvelous played live.

After fighting with myself all year last year, whether I'd have to chase them to the US to see a show since my last one in 2000, when they last came to Helsinki, it was decided for me in the latter part of 2007 when the Helsinki gig was announced. Ever since I've waited - a lot.

The concert was very pleasing as far as the setlist, the energy of the band (they played like there was no tomorrow at some points, Jimmy's drumming was just as excellent as he can be at best!)

Personal high points: Mayonaise, Rose March, Stand Inside Your Love... and Many others. The only songs that I really REALLY missed were Muzzle (that Billy has himself confessed to perhaps consider one of the songs that he loves best of all their production, at least he did say that in 2000 in the second to last show...) and United States, which is the absolute pinnacle of Zeitgeist. It's power-drumming and solos are mindblowing. So I was kinda expecting to hear at least one of them. But to hear earlier material like Mayonaise live kinda compensated for that, so 5 stars for the setlist, and 5 for the performance. And Billy, the audience was trying to tell you that you have "YSKÄ" (that's how it's spelled in Finnish) - a cough. Hope you're feeling better now, and you guys have a well-deserved break before heading for the down under.

And by the way, I was the guy right side from the stage, very close to the stage (as close as the seating space got at any point) on the first row of the audience that was all sitting, while I was standing and jumping up like crazy when Billy did his routine of first asking the audience on the left from the stage "is everyone all right over here?" and then, from the right side, "is everyone okay here?". I think he saw me jump like crazy among the sitters! :-D (and I was pretty much jumping and jamming along the whole gig, too.)

Thanks for all the Pumpkins for the great show. And thanks for Jimmy in general, one of the best drummers today. Sorry that the old ice hall doesn't have the best of acoustics, that kinda mushed up some of the louder songs, and especially the drumming, which was regrettable. The indoor venues in Helsinki really suck. The place you did in 2000 has sitting room only on the arena, which sucks too for your type of show - even though the acoustics is a little better. Come back in the Summer PLEASE and play a festival or an outdoor show - It'll be 100 times better acoustics and feeling.

Oh and P.S. I was singing along to ALL the songs, not just Cherub Rock, the last song that Billy asked us to sing along with

The concert was amazing. Ah-mazing. Started with beautiful Porcelina and ended with Cherub Rock (correct me if I'm wrong with the Cherub -still so excited about the show that my mind may be doing some tricks). It was wonderful to hear all the classics but also the songs that are not so often played live.

The audience was quite stiff at first (Finnish shyness? Artlessness? Dunno.) but after Billy making some jokes about "over-excitement" the people warmed up and relaxed a bit.

I'm so happy that I got the chance to see the band the second time and I hope that there'll be a plenty of similar opportunities for me in the future. Thank you! Welcome back!
