man I can't beleive the ignorance and judgement in this country. Most of us aussies seem to beleive that we have a higher opinion and status for some reason, Looking at every nook and cranny and judging without actually knowing shit. Why don't you look at what you have done yourselves and compare it to what you witnessed tonight...

Crap Festival Saved by the Pumpkins!

Even though I flew from Canberra just for the event, had drinks sprayed all over me, got hit on the head constantly by beachballs (and the occasional frisbee), was virtually paralysed from standing up for seven hours straight, almost got crushed by QOTSA fans, was bored to death by Jesus and the Mary Chain and was badly dehydrated at the end after having my drink stolen, it was sure as hell worth it to finally see the Pumpkins play live! The highlights for me included the opener Today, with the crowd sing the first verse, the band tearing through Tarantula and United States (especially when Billy played the Star Bangled Banner during the quiet bit - f***ing brilliant)Hummer, Bullet, 1979, Tonight Tonight and Cherub Rock. It was great to see Billy smiling, hamming it up for the crowd and having a great time. I'd give it five stars except was that the set was too short, especially after waiting so long to see them play, and I would have loved to have heard Doomsday Clock, 7 Shades of Black and BTL. Well, maybe next time.

Not quite as good as they get.

haZed.
This show was a little disappointing after watching them play on Thursday the 27th at the Hordern. While they still did a great job, the show could have had a better set list.
Instead of spending 15 minutes playing United States, it would have been more suitable to play a few other songs; Disarm and Zero for instance, two of the most anticipated songs, neither of which were played at either of the two shows I was present at.
This one was just a little disappointing with the set list being the main culprit of said disappointment.
