every song for the smashing pumpkins is amazing, is "perfect", but i think that this concert needed 33 minutes, with songs like "disarm", "33", "everlasting gaze".But i feel happy, because Billy discovered why the rockstars think that the mexican fans are the best in the WORLD.¡VIVA MEXICO CABRONES Y LOS SMASHING PUMPKINS! ...A HUEVO

MEXICO CITY WILL WAIT YOU WITH THE OPEN ARMS

After a mild rain and preceded by a very powerful The Mars Volta, the smashing pumpkins rocked the night,

The show did’t last enough nevertheless the played some of the best classic songs including “Mayonaise”, “Today”, “Hummer”, “BWBW”, “1979” and “Tonight, tonight”, and the amazing new songs “Tarantula” and “That’s the way (my love is)”

Other curious highlights of the show were Billy reciting some verses of a Britney Spears song during “Cash Car Star” and the Hendrix-esque rendition of “Star Spangled Banner” during “United States” (and amazing song to end the show)

The show schedule was really thight so I can’t blame the band for not returning for an encore, but I’m sure they were having a good time, Billy joked around trying to speak some Spanish and telling everyone that he was not really there “I’m a Ghost” he said, unlike the previous concert in 1998, this time the pumpkins were ready to please their fans and played a lot of classic songs all in all an amazing event which I hope reprises as soon as a new record comes out.

Godspeed!

Too close... too far

I was there, I was the second person in buying my tickets for the whole Mexico City Show and the last couple of months I was so desperated, finally the day arrived and I could get into the Autodromo at 3:00 o'clock and my only reason for being there was the Smashing Pumpkins, I didn´t care about the rest of the bands in that fest, but somehow out of nowhere a problem appeared, i got a serious problem, a familiar problem, and I had no choice, I got to get out even that implied that i had to lose my only chance to be in a SP concert. Altought that I had to leave. Now I feel like diying. I hope to you guys come back again to mexico city, and I wish so madly that it would happen soon.

I love SP forever, fortunatly the problem that i got is now solved, but anyway I still feeling so sad.

Anyway thanks for coming. Mexico Loves You!!!!

It was awesome when Billy entered the platform. The whole world cheered, and I just couldn't believe I was seeing THE legend walk into the SAME scenario I was watching, just 8 feet from me.

When I heard the first notes of Today, I felt so alive that every time I try to recall that moment, I can only see it in a blur. Everything seems unreal and fake since then.

Hearing thirty thousand souls sing their hearts out on that first stanza...

Thank you Billy, for giving us those 30 seconds of love, happiness and dreams come true; consummated hopes that started 3 years ago, when we first heard that you would be recording a new album.

The whole concert from that point seemed unreal, as if it was a dream depicting things so different from real life, that you actually feel different yourself in that moment, as if you were different "tonight".

Thank you again for coming down here Billy, and for giving us that so profoundly moving version of "That's the way my love is". Thirty thousand souls loved it that way, too.

I was not expecting you to play Cherub Rock or Rocket, but you gave me a big and pleasant surprise with Mayonnaise. Thank you again, Billy.

I only have a little thing to regret from the concert: you didn't play Disarm.

I really wanted to hear it, as it was the song that introduced me to your music. I like even more than 1979 or Tonight tonight.

Well, on the other hand, I guess that leaves the space for another concert in Mexico City, one in which you will play Disarm. I know it sounds clearly unreal, but the hope arisen with this idea is not very different form the one I felt three years ago, when you so generously offered the world a new album form the Smashing Pumpkins.

Peace, love and a hundred years of life,

Ariel

The first show of Mexican tour was simply amazing. We didn't care about the sun nor the rain, we have to wait 8 hours to see the band but it was nothing compare to 10 years we have to wait since last show.

Billy gave us what we must have had in 1998, he started with Today, what a great choice, he didn't have to sing for the first lines, the crowed was doing it, more than 30,000 mexicans screaming it out.

Tarantula, Hummer, Stand inside your Love, Superchrist, Mayonnaise, Tonight Tonight (The highest peak of the night), 1979, That's the way (My love is), Bullet with Butterfly Wings, Cash Car Star + an unknown song to me, Ava Adore, United States....

I will sound ridiculous but there were even a moment during Tonight Tonigt that my eyes went to tears. thanks BC, thanks JC, thanks pumpkins, you gave me a night to remember until the day I die, I'll see you tonight in my city's show (Guadalajara)

It was a really amazing concert the played mayonaise one of my favorites but i think they should've played Perfect. Anyway thanks you for coming. I was in first row and Billy pointed at me when he was asking "como estan mexico" because i shout his name out loud, i feel blessed.

By the way United States was the best song for the end of the concert it was a really amazing version.

Amazing, but sadly short

Hi all, this concert was something i waitted for a really looong time, i love the Pumpkins, when i listened today i felt i was 16 again and was so [bad word removed]ing happy being there was something dreamed about so much, but i felt really frustrated because i know no one wanted the band to leave but most of the public didnt know how to ask for more, really i saw around me people tryng to scream "otra" (one more) or things like that, but sometimes the mexican people are so inconfident in looking fools and most of the people here dont speak english at all, it was really heart breaking, because i couldnt believe it was over yet, if i could i would be in the next 2 concerts in zapopan and monterrey, but its impossible to me. PUMPKINS IF YOU SOMEHOW READ THIS YOU MUST KNOW WE IN MEXICO LOVE YOU, AND ITS VERY IMPORTANT FOR US THAT YOU DONT FORGET TO VISIT MEXICO, but please come alone (with oppeners is ok) not in a fest so we can be together more time.

thanks and plz come back
