Set the Ray to Jerry
But it was fine, though... it was an arena concert, not an intimate place for slow songs.
BTW... how come you only let 5 cameras inside? What about local media? You let people in Mexico City choose the media? Come on guys, it's way too far for people from Mexico City to know who is a damn good photographer and who sucks over here.

I can easily say that it was one of the greatest nights in my life. Being a new and young fan (and not in the slightest afraid of admitting it), it was the first SP concert I've ever been to, but it definitely won't be the last.
It wasn't even what I expected...it was way more. From our amazing "Monterrey" song, to Billy's sarcastic and acid sense of humor (even though I'm sure the guy in the 'fake cheap t-shirt' was totally ecstatic that Billy directed a joke to him), it was just beyond words. The connection with the crowd was the warmest that I have ever experienced, and the zarapes and sombreros at the end were a nice detail that meant a whole lot.
It might sound corny, but I couldn't hold the tears during songs like 1979 (beautifully performed acoustic), Tonight, Tonight and not to mention the absolutely EPIC guitar solo at Starla. Simply awesome.
I am young, new, and I bought a fake cheap t-shirt. But even though I wasn't old enough to appreciate the Pumpkin's best times, I believe I still have the right to be a fan now that they're back, don't I?
Thank you so much for the amazing night, and I pray for your return soon...not in 7 or 8 years!

I was 11 years old when I first heard of the band, been a fan since 92, never got the opportunity to see you guys on stage before the break up, my first approch to a concert was on Billy's solo album back in Dallas TX at the Gypsy Room, then finally I got to be in a concert of the Smashing Pumpkins again in Dallas TX this time at the Nokia Theather.
After that I told to myself one of my dreams had become real and then the tour speaded to Mexico, 3 concerts, Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey (My home town) I had to be there and so i did.
I even got see you guys after the show on backstage and for that I'm thankful, my girlfriend soon to become my wife and I will ever be your loyal fans, we love your music.
Billy and Jimmy thank you so much for everything and... ROCK ON!

It was just amazing, to be honest I wasn't expecting an almost 2:30hrs concert, that was grreat. The concert was getting better and better with every song. And we also hope you guys can come back in a few years, not 10 or 7 like Billy said lastnight. The thing of the mariachi hats and zarape was awesome. First concert that I see a band playing with the lights totally on. I just couldn't beleive all the love and respect that Billy showed to the audience at the end of the concert. Billy dancing, claping around, posing, playing a song to Monterrey, wow, I don't know if you Corgan sing a song for the city where you are everytime, but anyway, amazing. I rated the concert 9.99 good because I'm sure all the people there would prefer to hear you playing "Zero" than a Britney Spears cover.
In the name of Monterrey Mexico:
THANK YOU SMASHING PUMPKINS

It was just some minutes ago that me and some other thousands people were enjoying SP's concert. Thank you for that big detail of wearing mariachi hats!! and for the demonstration of love to our country. We want you back, as soon as possible guys.
Have to say that Ginger looked so sexy!
I saw that SP's setlist was much similar in the past european shows, but here in Mexico they "smashed" the routine. In Monterrey they started with Today, followed by Tarantula... just check the previous setlist, and you'll see that the song list structure is quite the same.
Also it was remarkable the cover of Pink Floyd's "Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun", that was a beautiful surprise.
The low side was the extended fuzzy version of United States...
After all: Superb show!
